Michael J. Dowling

Michael Dowling, president of Wool Street Writers, is an award-winning ghostwriter, author, and editor. He specializes in producing clear, compelling, and convincing books and papers that get the desired results, while making the writing and publishing process understandable, economical, and enjoyable for his clients.

Michael holds an MBA degree from Columbia Business School in New York City, where he was a Harriman Scholar, and a B.S. in industrial engineering with honors from the University of Florida. Prior to founding Wool Street Writers in 1999, Mike served as president of an educational  publishing company, president of a national gift company, controller of a high-tech startup, and administrator of a large church.

Ginny Carter

Ginny Carter is a business book ghostwriter and book coach, helping experts, speakers, coaches, and entrepreneurs to create the book that gets them seen, heard and hired. Having worked in marketing and social media for many years prior to ghostwriting, she combines her business experience with her writing talent to deliver clear and persuasive books on any number of topics.

Taking care to develop a close working relationship with her clients is important to her, as is writing in their voice. She also brings her strategic expertise to the book writing process, ensuring her authors have the right book for their business. Douglas W. Cooper

Doug offers coaching and developmental editing services to aspiring authors of non-fiction books. He has professional experience with a wide range of genres. As the author or co-author of more than 100 technical articles published in refereed journals, he is obviously very comfortable with technical subjects. He is also the author of Ting and I: A Memoir of Love, Courage, and Devotion, which chronicles the blessings and challenges of providing home care for his wife, and the co-author or editor of five other memoirs. More recently, he authored Write Your Book with Me and co-authored SOLVED! Curing Your Medical Insurance Problems. Doug’s next book, How to Manage Nursing Care at Home, is due to be published by Outskirts Press in 2017.

retired environmental physicist, Douglas has a Ph.D. in engineering from Harvard University, an M.S. in physics from Penn State University, and an A.B. in physics from Cornell University. His professional work centered on environmental issues, and he was elected Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Sciences.

Saundra K. Hathaway

Saundra holds a B.A. in English and brings more than three decades of documented success for clients in business, technical, and creative writing and copy-editing. She has in-depth experience in a variety of genres, including newspaper and magazine articles, annual reports, web content, brochures, and event materials. In 2011 and 2012, she won Graphic Design USA’s American Graphic Design Award for her copywriting excellence.

For more than two decades, Saundra has worked with numerous clients and their partners to research, plan, write, and edit federal, state, and private grants, and on numerous occasions, she has taught classes and been a speaker on grant writing at state and national conventions.

Saundra co-authored M>PWR Chicago: A Report on Strategy Recommendations to Empower Youth with Disabilities,commissioned and published by the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation; five peer-reviewed chapters of Employment Experiences and Outcomes for Youth and Adults with Learning Disabilities: Status of Empirical Research and the Implications for Adult Education, published by the National Institute for Literacy in Learning to Achieve; and Natural Supports in Action: Strategies to Facilitate Supports of Workers with Disabilities.

She also contributed content and served as a practitioner reviewer for two publications produced by the Center for the Study of Social Policy: Strengthening Families: A Guidebook for Early Childhood Programs and Building Capacity for Local Decision Making, a series of learning guides.

Susan Sloate

 

Susan provides book and article ghostwriting and developmental editing services to authors, along with coaching services with respect to publishing, marketing, and branding.

Susan is the author of 20 books. STEALING FIRE took honors in a 2014 literary competition; FORWARD TO CAMELOT (with Kevin Finn) was honored in three literary competitions and was optioned for film production by a Hollywood company. Both books became top-10 Amazon bestsellers. In REALIZING YOU (with Ron Doades), Susan created a new genre, the self-help novel. All three novels were published within a 90-day period in 2013.

Susan has also written 17 young-adult books, including biographies, histories, sports, fashion, and titles for five Y/A girl’s fiction series. She has also been a sportswriter, screenwriter, journalist, and playwright. She founded the Writers Workshop and the East Cooper Authors Festival, both in Mount Pleasant, SC. She has been profiled in WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA and WHO’S WHO IN ENTERTAINMENT.

Jonathan Verney

Everyone has a story to tell, but few tell it well. As a business ghostwriter, my mission is to help business leaders articulate their thinking and share their thoughts with a wider audience, so they can become true thought leaders. When entrepreneurs and business owners showcase their journey, vision, ideas, and expertise in a book, they dramatically increase their credibility and visibility in the marketplace.

I have a business degree and am the founder of Stratagem Marketing & Design. In addition to co-authoring McGraw-Hill’s Feed the Startup Beast: A 7 Step Guide to Big, Hairy, Outrageous Sales Growth, I am the ghostwriter behind numerous business books, including Live Well, Retire WellStrategies for a Rich Life and a Richer Retirement with Patricia Lovett-Reid, Chief Financial Commentator at CTV News.

Sharon Castlen

Sharon offers consulting and coaching services to authors, small presses, and independent presses nationwide in the areas of strategic book marketing, pre-press publishing, and book distribution. She specializes in non-fiction books for both the secular and Christian markets.

As the founder and owner of Integrated Book Marketing, Sharon regularly shares her expertise through workshops, webinars, keynote addresses, and “ask-the-expert” sessions at national and regional gatherings for authors and publishers. Annually, she is a featured speaker at Publishing University, sponsored by the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), and at the fall trade show of the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association.

Sarah Buell Dowling

Sarah is an award-winning artist and illustrator. Her illustrations and the cartoons she creates with her husband, Michael Dowling, add graphic interest and whimsy to the printed text.

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, Sarah continued her post-graduate studies at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts, and with numerous nationally recognized artists.

She has illustrated three books and several children’s toys. One of these toys received the Toys of the Year award from Parenting Magazine; another was a Children’s Book of the Month Club Main Selection.
